USABILITY TESTING

After developing mid-fidelity wireframes, I conducted several usability tests to evaluate Chroma's functionality by focusing on testing the primary task flow of buying and selling an item on the marketplace.
After testing 5 participants through 5 user flows, these were my main takeaways:
See below for some of my main iterations.
- Selection mechanism is a little confusing
- The “buy” button should be clearer and larger
- Popups sometimes don’t look like popups
- Need to add a page to bridge between the main page and the collections page (more intuitive flow)
- Check accessibility on all the colors used on the screens
See below for some of my main iterations.
- I made the selection mechanism more intuitive. To select an item to perform an action, the user will need to select the checkbox next to the item. To click on an item to view its profile, the user will just need to click on the item name. I also put the navigation tabs at the bottom of all screens to keep the design consistent.
- I made the “buy” button larger and more consistent with the rest of the UI library.
- I made the popups look more like popups and added in the navigation panel for every screen, even with popups.
