VISUAL DESIGN

The client wanted a playful, Japanese cartoon-inspired narrative that made users feel like they were playing a fun game. I settled on creating a series of pixel graphics that depicted a whimsical convenience store clerk handing out lotto tickets, capturing the desired aesthetic of the client.

I created all the pixel graphics, including borders for buttons and popups, as well as the pixel icons. Using a muted yet playful green-orange color palette, along with a cute character and whimsical ticket graphics, I aimed to create an inviting atmosphere that engaged users as they collected their rewards. To display ticket info, I opted for pixelated ticket graphics instead of a traditional tabular format, emphasizing thematic consistency to boost user engagement. I chose a font that gave off a blocky, game-like aesthetic, without the illegibility of pixel fonts.
